Hail & Storm Damage Restoration in North Texas
Storm restoration is the process of documenting hail or wind damage, filing and managing the insurance claim, and repairing the roof and exterior back to pre-storm condition. In North Texas it usually covers the roof, gutters, window screens, fencing and sometimes siding, all under a single claim.

The claim clock starts running the day the storm hits
Most Texas policies require you to report damage promptly, and carriers increasingly push back on claims filed long after the storm date. If a storm has come through your area, an inspection now costs nothing and protects your options later.
It also matters for a practical reason: after a major hail event every roofer in the Metroplex is booked. Homeowners who get inspected and filed in the first week are on a schedule while everyone else is still waiting for a callback.
One claim usually covers more than the roof
Adjusters routinely scope only what they are shown. Hail that damages a roof has almost always also hit the gutters, the gutter aprons, the roof vents, window screens, the AC condenser fins, and any wood fencing. Those are legitimate line items and they are frequently left off the first estimate.
We inspect the whole exterior, including gutters, siding and fencing, and we file supplements when the initial scope misses something.
If water is coming in, we tarp first and sort the claim after
Emergency tarping stops the interior damage while the claim is still being worked. Interior water damage that happens after you knew about the leak can be argued as a failure to mitigate. Tarping protects both your home and your claim.

Storm Restoration questions
How long after a hailstorm can I still file a claim?
Texas policies generally require prompt notice, and many carriers apply a one to two year limit from the date of loss. The practical answer is sooner is better: evidence degrades, storm dates get harder to prove, and carriers scrutinize late claims much harder.
What if my claim gets denied?
A denial is not always final. Claims are commonly denied because the adjuster missed damage, used the wrong storm date, or scoped only part of the roof. We can request a re-inspection and file a supplement with the documentation from our own inspection.
Do I have to use the contractor my insurance recommends?
No. In Texas you choose your own contractor. Some carriers keep a preferred vendor list for managed repair and direct repair claims, and we are a preferred vendor on these programs, but using a program contractor is always your choice.
Should I pay my deductible to the roofer?
Your deductible is your legitimate out-of-pocket cost and it is due. Be cautious of any contractor who offers to waive or absorb it. That is insurance fraud under Texas law and it puts your claim at risk too.
