Insurance preferred vendor for managed repair and direct repair claims
Dimensional Pro Construction works with insurance carriers as a preferred vendor on managed repair and direct repair claims. When a carrier assigns us a claim, we contact the policyholder, protect the property, document the damage, write the estimate to the carrier's guidelines, and complete the repair with the carrier kept informed at each step.
How the two programs differ
Carriers name these programs differently, and some use the two terms for the same thing. In general they work like this.
Direct repair program
The carrier keeps a network of contractors it has vetted and refers policyholders to one of them. The contractor inspects, writes the estimate using the carrier's pricing, and sends it to the carrier's desk adjuster for review. Once the scope is agreed, the contractor does the work.
Managed repair program
The carrier, or a company it hires to run the program, assigns the claim and manages the job from first call to final invoice. The program sets deadlines for first contact, the inspection and the estimate, tracks the job in its own system, and reviews the estimate before work starts.
Neither program changes what your policy covers. Your deductible is still yours to pay, and the carrier pays for the covered repair under the program’s terms.
What happens when your carrier sends us your claim
- 1We call you to book the inspectionYour carrier passes us the claim number and your contact details, and we call to set a time that works for you.
- 2We protect the house firstIf water is getting in, the tarp goes on before anything else. Emergency tarping on site the same day.
- 3We inspect and photograph everythingEvery slope of the roof plus gutters, vents, siding, windows and fencing, so the carrier sees the whole loss in one report.
- 4We write the estimate to the carrier's guidelinesLine by line in Xactimate, priced the way the program requires, and sent to the carrier with the photos.
- 5The carrier reviews and approves the scopeIf the old roof comes off and there is more damage underneath, we document it and get approval before doing the extra work.
- 6We build it and close the fileCompletion photos and the final paperwork go to the carrier so the claim can close.
If your carrier gave you our name
You deal with the same office and the same people as any other customer. What changes is the paperwork: the estimate follows the carrier’s pricing, and the carrier sees our photos and progress updates as the job moves.
Taking the program contractor is your choice. If you would prefer to pick your own roofer, tell your adjuster. If you are hiring us yourself after a storm, the standard insurance claim process is the one that applies, with us filing, meeting the adjuster and supplementing for you.

Program claim questions
What is a direct repair program?
A direct repair program is a network of contractors an insurance carrier has vetted and refers policyholders to after a covered loss. The contractor inspects the damage, writes the estimate to the carrier's pricing, sends it for review, and does the repair once the scope is agreed.
What is a managed repair program?
A managed repair program is one where the carrier, or a company it hires to run the program, assigns the claim to a contractor and tracks the job from first contact to completion, with deadlines for the inspection, the estimate and the work. Some carriers use the two names for the same thing.
Do I have to use the contractor my insurance company sends?
No. In Texas you choose your own contractor. A program referral is an option your carrier offers, and you can turn it down by telling your adjuster.
Do I still pay a deductible on a program claim?
Yes. The deductible is part of your policy and it is due on every claim, program or not. A contractor who offers to waive it is breaking Texas law, and that puts your claim at risk.
What if more damage turns up during the job?
We stop, photograph it and send it to the carrier for approval before doing the extra work. Rotted decking under old shingles is the usual example.
