Roof Leak Repair in Justin, Argyle & Fort Worth
Roof leak repair means locating where water is actually entering the roof system and sealing it. The entry point is often several feet away from where the stain appears inside, because water travels along decking and rafters before it drops. Most leaks come from failed flashing or pipe boots rather than from the shingles themselves.

Where roof leaks in North Texas actually come from
In the overwhelming majority of the leaks we are called out to, the shingle field is fine. The water is coming in at a penetration. A plumbing vent boot whose rubber collar has cracked in the Texas sun, a chimney or wall flashing that was never stepped correctly, a valley that has worn through, or a nail that backed out and lifted a shingle.
That is good news, because it usually means a repair rather than a replacement. It is also why a leak needs to be traced rather than guessed at: sealing the ceiling stain from above does nothing if the entry point is six feet up-slope.
A leak is often the first sign of hail damage you did not know about
Several of the homeowners who call us about a small leak turn out to have a roof full of hail bruising from a storm a year or more earlier. The leak is the symptom that finally got their attention. If we find storm damage while tracing your leak, we will show you the photos and tell you whether it is worth filing.
Signs you have an active roof leak
- Water entering during or shortly after rainfall
- Brown or darkening rings on ceilings or wall tops
- Peeling paint or bubbling around skylights and window heads
- A musty smell in the attic, or visible mould on decking
- Damp or matted insulation in the attic
- Daylight visible through the roof deck from inside the attic
- Sudden unexplained rise in heating or cooling bills

Roof Leak Repair questions
How fast can you get out to a roof leak?
Same day in most cases across Justin, Argyle, Roanoke, Haslet, Northlake and Fort Worth. If water is actively entering the house, say so when you call and we will prioritize it. Several of our reviews describe us arriving within the hour.
Can you repair a leak in the rain?
We can almost always stop it in the rain, yes. A temporary seal or tarp goes on immediately to protect the interior, and the permanent repair follows once the deck is dry enough to bond properly.
Do I need a whole new roof because of one leak?
Usually not. Most leaks are a failed flashing or pipe boot and are a straightforward repair. A replacement is only warranted when the shingle field itself has failed or there is widespread storm damage, and we will show you the photos either way.
Why is the stain on my ceiling not under the hole in my roof?
Water runs. It enters at a penetration, travels down the underside of the decking or along a rafter, and drops at the first low point it finds, often several feet from where it got in. That is why tracing the path matters more than patching the stain.
